safe eye examWe are re-opening on Tuesday May 19th. Things might look a little different since the last time you were here. Since March we’ve been re-designing our space to make sure that your next visit is safe for our staff and our patients.

Arriving

When you arrive at the door, it might be locked. Please take a minute to review the instructions on the door. One of our staff would let you in when they are ready. To make the check in process more efficient, forms can be emailed to you upon request. They can be printed, filled out and brought to your appointment.

Hygiene

Hand sanitizer will be available when you enter the office. Masks or other kind of face coverings are required. If none is available, they would be provided to you at $0.50 each, all of which would be donated to Coquitlam Alliance Church. Click here to check out all the work that they are doing both locally and globally.

Acrylic barriers have been installed not only at the front desk, but also at our optician stations. For glasses measurements, we use Optikam digital fitting device to take glasses measurements to maintain a safe distance. Shields are also mounted on different portable measuring and examining equipment. Beside wearing a mask, our staff and doctors will be wearing goggles and face shields, as there is time when we may need to be closer to you to collect proper measurements. As usual, any of our examination equipment that comes into contact with you are sanitized between every patient.

In order for everyone to efficiently work and shop together in our space, we practice responsible social/physical distancing by managing the number of people in our office. Some changes might be more subtle but they’re there. For example, all surfaces, handles and trays that might be touched are cleaned regularly throughout the day. We have also removed many unnecessary touch points like extra chairs, children toys and brochures.

Eyewear Gallery

Shopping for frames will still be fun and worry free. We ask our guests to only use sanitized tray provided and browse, and when you are ready to try them on, let one of our staff know and we will clean your selections for you. When you are done, just return any frames you were trying on, along with your tray to our staff and we’ll take care of the rest.

We’re going above and beyond recommendations protocols from the Health Ministry, Disease Control and World Health Organization, making our clinic as safe as possible for you and our team. We hope some of this helps inform you, put you more at ease and gives you an idea of what you can expect when we get to see you the next time.

We sincerely thank you for supporting us and partnering with us to keep our community safe.
